International Cricket

The home of cricket

The Melbourne Cricket Ground remains the spiritual home for cricket in Australia.

The iconic stadium, known colloquially as the 'G, was named one of the seven wonders of the sporting world in 2009 and plays hosts to Victoria's international schedule each year.

Over the years, the 'G has hosted some of cricket's biggest moments including the first ever Test and One-Day International, the infamous underarm delivery in 1981, the 1992 World Cup final, Shane Warne's 700th wicket in 2006 and the 2015 World Cup Final which was attended by the largest cricket crowd ever.

The jewel in the international calendar each year remains the Boxing Day Test.

During a blockbuster summer of cricket, the Boxing Day Test will feature Australia and Pakistan during 2016-17.
