The State Championship programme consists of a series of competitions run across December and January each year for talented male and female cricketers starting at Under-14 level and moving through to Under-18 level.
The programme is a key component of the talent identification system for male and female youth cricketers.
The program has a history of producing elite level players with Peter Siddle, Meg Lanning, James Pattinson, Peter Handscomb and Molly Strano just some of the cricketers who have gone on to represent Australia, Victoria and play in BBL and WBBL.
There are eight metropolitan and eight country regions that are represented in every State Championship program meaning players can participate in representative programs regardless of where they live in Victoria.

All coach and official positions will be advertised this year through Cricket Victoria's and Cricket Coaches Australia website. We would like to ensure all qualified coaches in Victoria have the opportunity to apply and along with the players move through their own developmental pathway if successful.
Following the closing date of June 11 2017, each Regional Cricket Manager will prepare a summary of the applications and through their regional processes, select their preferred candidates. These will be submitted to the Pathway Programme Coordinator for confirmation of eligibility.
All appointments will be on a one season basis and should it be considered appropriate, joint coaches, may be appointed.
Please click here to see the application form. Note you can apply for multiple positions and multiple regions in one form should you wish.
