Vics earn Indoor Cricket World Junior Series selections

The selections come after a successful national tournament last week where the Victorian 13-and-under and 15-and-under boys’ teams both claimed silverware.

Included in the Australian World Series squads are Ryan Peter-Budge (15-and-under boys) and Zoe Griffiths (17-and-under girls) who were both named Player of the Tournament in their respective divisions.

An additional nine Victorians have been selected in the Australia A squads across four age groups and will also participate at the World Series.

“It’s great to see so many of our junior Victorian indoor cricketers selected to represent Australia and Australia A at the World Series later this year,” Cricket Victoria Indoor Cricket Manager Ross Gregory.

“It shows that the future of Victorian indoor cricket is bright and exciting.”

Shane Suckling has also been named coach of the Australian 13-and-under boys’ team.

The World Indoor Cricket Federation World Junior Series will be held in Brisbane from September 27 to October 3.
