The original Ford Beach Cricket again returned to beaches around Victoria during the summer of 2008/09. Beach revellers joined Cricket Victoria for a day on the beach with classic catches, beach sprints, cricket triathlons and of course beach cricket. The Ford Beach Cricket events are open to all the family and is free of charge with plenty of prizes given away to everyone who gets involved. The dates & venues for this summer's Beach Cricket are;
Event includes Classic catches, longest throw, fastest bowl, beach sprints, the cricket sand castle competition etc. Sun, surf, sand, music and fun form a great foundation for the types of activities Cricket Victoria run. A number of positives exist when talking Beach Cricket:
The Ford Beach Cricket events are run each day at the venues from 12pm to 4.30pm and will be run in partnership with the Life Saving Club at the particular beach.
