The Emerging Player Program commences on 29th July with players being able to train in an elite environment at both the Junction Oval and the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The program will run on Saturdays and Wednesdays throughout the pre-season with a key focus to improve player skill and knowledge whilst developing positive habits within a high-performance environment.
The initial phase of the program will conclude with trail games, set to be staged in the September school holidays.
The Victorian Country / Victorian Metro U16 Teams will be selected in November ahead of the National Championships from 15th – 22nd January in Hobart, Tasmania.
CV’s Emerging Players program will utilise a mixture of CV Cricket Performance staff and Victorian Premier Cricket coaches to lead the program, including Former Victorian Women’s Cricket Team Captain Kelly Applebee and former Australian and Victorian Legend and coach Cathryn Fitzpatrick as a specialist coaches.
