Girls Leadership Program

Leading the Game – Girls Leadership Program

After a successful relaunch last season with over 80 participants from across the state, Cricket Victoria is thrilled to announce the return of our Leading the Game – Girls Leadership program for 2024.

Powered by MCC Foundation, this four-session program aims to inspire and educate the next generation of female leaders in Victoria’s cricket community.

In collaboration with former Australian cricketer Belinda Clark AO and her company, The Leadership Playground, this program offers girls aged 14-16 a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts.

Participants will explore various roles in cricket, including playing, coaching, umpiring, operations, public relations, marketing, and media. Don’t miss this opportunity to empower the future stars of cricket on and off the field!

A feature of the program is for participants to apply the knowledge they gain in a project they design and implement within their club. This project will be presented by participants in the last session. Projects can be worked on in pairs or individually.

The first 2 sessions will take place at the CitiPower Centre in St Kilda, and the last two sessions will be held at the MCG with an extra opportunity to attend the WBBL Melbourne Derby between the Melbourne Stars and the Melbourne Renegades at the MCG on Friday, 15th November.
