Cricket Victoria launches Melbourne Cricket Academy in India in partnership with KheloMore Sports

The new partnership, launched in Mumbai today, sees Cricket Victoria join forces with KheloMore Sports, led by former Indian international cricketer Jatin Paranjape, to launch the MCA into the Indian school system.

With a focus on providing high-quality cricket coaching and development opportunities, the MCA will support program participants while providing new opportunities for Indian schools, coaches and young cricketers alike.

The MCA offers a comprehensive cricket coaching program broken into three 12-week blocks designed to equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in the game. Through tailored coaching sessions, and mentorship opportunities, participants will experience personal and athletic growth while forging lifelong connections with fellow cricket enthusiasts.

For Indian schools, the MCA presents a unique opportunity to enhance their sports curriculum and enrich the educational experience of their students. By partnering with the MCA, schools gain access to accredited coaching expertise, and the chance to showcase their commitment to holistic student development.

Cricket Victoria CEO Nick Cummins said the MCA was an important strategic opportunity.

“We want to see the Melbourne Cricket Academy build on the legacy of cricket excellence in India. By providing a platform for aspiring cricketers to hone their skills, we aim to inspire a new generation of cricketing ambassadors who will champion the spirit of cricket on the global stage.”

Sharing his insights on the opportunities this association will bring, KheloMore CEO Jatin Paranjape said,

“We at KheloMore are thrilled to announce our partnership with Cricket Victoria in launching the Melbourne Cricket Academy right here in India.”

“This initiative marks a significant milestone in our journey towards enhancing the sports curriculum and educational experiences offered by Indian schools.

“Through this collaboration, we are not just introducing a curriculum enriched with accredited coaching expertise but are also opening doors for schools to demonstrate their commitment to the holistic development of their students.”

The program has been designed by Cricket Victoria, the cricket system that has developed international players for over one hundred years, from the late great Shane Warne to modern stars like Glenn Maxwell and Meg Lanning.
