From the 2019-20 cricket season onwards, Cricket Australia has announced that all community cricketers (at all levels of competition) will be required to wear British Standard 7928:2013 compliant helmets when batting, wicket keeping up to the stumps, and fielding in close.
The new online shop gives clubs the opportunity to purchase compliant helmets with customised club branding.
Cricket Victoria General Manager Community Cricket Rohan O’Neill said the shop would be a central resource for clubs and associations over the next two years.
“Cricket Victoria is committed to ensuring a smooth transition to this new requirement and has been working over the off-season on a new online store that will provide clubs the chance to purchase club-branded helmets which are fully compliant,” O’Neill said.
“The safety of our participants – at every level – is paramount. We want cricketers across Victoria to walk onto the field knowing they are using equipment which offers the best protection available.”
Masuri are the official helmet supply partner to Cricket Australia, every State Cricket Association and every BBL team, so your club will be in good company!
