To ensure we can appropriately recognise volunteers for their contribution to Victorian cricket, we are creating the Cricket Victoria Community Cricket Awards. The awards will combine Cricket Victoria’s two previous volunteer recognition events, the 50 Year Service Recognition Awards and the A Sport For All Awards, to create one event where we can recognise the achievements of all volunteers across Victorian cricket.
Cricket Victoria CEO Andrew Ingleton said the awards are a great opportunity to recognise the significant impact volunteers and organisations make to grassroots cricket.
“Cricket would not be what it is without our thousands of volunteers. These awards recognise those people in the community who make a significant contribution to cricket and allow the whole community to be involved in the game we all love. By combining both awards into one large ceremony we can celebrate all of the achievements across all of Victorian cricket together.”
The A Sport For All Awards highlight community cricket and celebrate the achievements of our clubs, associations, indoor centres, community organisations, administrators and volunteers who go above and beyond to make cricket a sport for all Victorians.
There are thirteen categories for the awards including:
