Throughout the day, Super League teams competed in a round-robin tournament with Skye Cricket Club and Barwon advancing through to the final.

A Ten Over Tonk format was also played, where participants enjoyed the shorter format.

City of Casey Mayor Mick Morland welcomed everyone on the day along with former City of Casey Mayor Geoff Ablett with the Super League Shield being presented by member of the Lord’s Taverners Victoria, Ian Crawford.

With support from City of Casey, the Lord’s Taverners, Cranbourne Cricket Club and Casey-South Melbourne Cricket Club, the carnival, in its ninth year, gives an opportunity for cricketers with an intellectual disability to come across the state and play with and against each other.

“It’s was another amazing turnout,” Cranbourne Cricket Club President Shaun Petrie said.

“It’s not only a wonderful day for the participants but it’s also a wonderful for the volunteers because they learn a lot about working with people with a disability.

“The carnival has gone from strength to strength which has been great to see.”

Over 220 cricketers participated in what was another successful carnival.
