Cricket Victoria donates $50,000 to Flood Recovery Efforts

Chief Executive Tony Dodemaide said Victorian cricket is united in their determination to assist those affected by this terrible tragedy.

“The destructive natural disaster had affected the lives of many Australians, and it’s appropriate for Victorian cricket to do its bit to help out,” Dodemaide said.

“Everyone has been touched by what has been happening around the country, particularly in Queensland, and our thoughts and prayers are with those affected.

“In addition to our donation we will continue to raise much-needed funds by encouraging fans around Victoria to dig deep at the KFC Twenty20 International tonight and Commonwealth Bank Series One-day match on Sunday at the MCG.”

At tonight’s KFC Twenty20 International and Sunday’s Commonwealth Bank ODI match, tin-rattlers will be collecting donations around the ground. Cricket Victoria urges fans to give generously.
