Cricket Victoria signs partnership with Gray-Nicolls Sports

The agreement will see Gray-Nicolls become the official equipment supplier of Cricket Victoria along with Platypus as the official cricket ball.

Cricket Victoria General Manager of Marketing, Commercial and Communications Tim Gledhill welcomed the announcement.

“We are delighted to partner with such an iconic cricket organisation who has clearly demonstrated a vision that perfectly aligns with that of Victorian cricket,” Gledhill said.

“Both Cricket Victoria and Gray-Nicolls share a strong grass roots cricket focus and we look forward to working with the Gray-Nicolls team.”

Gray-Nicolls Sponsorship Manager and Platypus Brand Manager Michael Reed commented on the new partnership.

“Both Gray-Nicolls and Platypus recognise the prestige of Cricket Victoria within the Australian cricket landscape and the importance of making cricket affordable for all of the clubs and their players,” Reed said.

“We are extremely excited to have entered into this agreement with Cricket Victoria and look forward to contributing even further to the greater cricket community.”

Gray-Nicolls has been a major player in the sporting industry since their foundation in 1855 with the company still family owned by fifth generation Gray family members.

A true cricket equipment specialist, Gray-Nicolls has been at the forefront of sporting technology for generations and in the hands of the world’s top players, continually striving to innovate and inspire, constantly pushing the boundaries as they set to reinforce their market leading position.

Gray-Nicolls are proud to be the sole Australian distributor of Platypus cricket balls in Australia.

Platypus (the Brown family) has been manufacturing top quality hand stitched cricket balls for the Australian market for four generations.

With a proud history of sponsoring district and club cricket for most of that time, Platypus have long held the belief that it is vital to support the game at grass roots level.
