The Victorian Second XI then play their first game of the season with a four-day match against NSW starting on Monday, September 12.
The Victorian squad enjoyed their first hit out with an intra-squad practice match played at the CitiPower centre on Friday.
Peter Handscomb (62) and Jake Fraser-McGurk (53) impressed with the bat in the first innings, while Will Sutherland 2/18 (7), Matt Short 2/29 (8) & Jon Holland 2/19 (6) were the multiple wicket takers.
The Dean XI chased down the total of 226 with one wicket to spare.
Campbell Kellaway (46), Jono Merlo (37) & Will Sutherland (34) stood out with the bat and Todd Murphy 3/24 (8), Tom O’Connell 2/39 (8), Jack Prestwidge 2/33 (8) were the best with the ball.
