With Melbourne’s fickle weather failing to allow most semi-finals to commence, the Breakers won through to the Under-14 decider after securing a seven-wicket win against Northern Rivers.
In a rain reduced match, the Rivers posted 9-107 from their 20 overs with Andrew Poppa top-scoring with 55 opening the batting, while Jesse Trower added 34.
Off-spinner Shubham Bhargave claimed 2-25 including the prized wicket of Trower.
In reply, the Breakers chased down the target with 10 balls in hand.
Having slumped to 2-15, Mackenzie Harvey (48) and Nathan Murphy (41*) put on an 88-run stand to snatch the game away from the Rivers.
The Breakers will now clash with the Inner South East Scorpions in the Under-14 Final after they advanced without a ball being bowled against the Inner East Emus due to a superior net run rate.
The Breakers will also contest the Under-16 Final against the North West Wizards with neither semi-final able to take place.
The Finals will be held at Fitzroy Doncaster on Sunday, February 2.
